I am the development lead of the YouTrackDB project. YouTrackDB is a binary-compatible fork of OrientDB supported by the YouTrack project. We provide community support for it and use it in our applications.

Great to hear from back you! It's been a while since we collaborated on an alternative OrientDB protocol. Too bad it wasn't adopted at the end. Lets get in touch, I'm really interested to hear about the new project you are working on!

Regarding the driver and YouTrackDB - it would be nice to add support for newer protocol versions that both OrientDB and YouTrackDB support.

However, I no longer use OrientDB for any of the projects, and the company that supported driver development is no longer operational. The driver haven't had any commits for a decade already. So I consider it unmaintained/archived. It would be great to revive it, but I unfortunately don't have any spare cycles for it at the moment...
