Recipes have origins (both place(s) and time), historical context and can change over time.
https://foodtimeline.org/ is a nice website that includes a timeline of various culinary events.
It would be nice to cluster recipes into their approximate estimated source (although always allowing for editing and correction) and to then include some links to snippets about that historical context.
