Description
This issue tracks progress of bringing confluent into EPEL.
Dependencies for EL9/10
Dependencies need to be part of EPEL as well. Currently confluent installs the following dependencies:
- libsodium-1.0.18-9.el9.x86_64
- EPEL9: libsodium-1.0.18-8.el9.x86_64
- EPEL10: libsodium-1.0.20-2.el10_0.x86_64
- libtomcrypt-1.18.2-18.el9.x86_64
- libtommath-1.2.0-13.el9.x86_64
- python3-bcrypt-3.2.2-2.el9.x86_64
- python3-eficompressor-0.10-1.x86_64
- Project seems to be dead since 2019?
- python3-eventlet-0.38.0-1.noarch
- EPEL9: python3-eventlet-0.33.3-1.el9.noarch (Seems to be compatible)
- EPEL10: eventlet is deprecated in favor of async(io)
- python3-greenlet-3.1.1-1.x86_64
- AppStream9: python3-greenlet-1.1.2-4.el9.x86_64 (Seems to be compatible)
- AppStream10: python-greenlet-3.0.3-5.el10.x86_64 (Seems to be compatible)
- python3-libarchive-c-4.0-8.el9.noarch
- python3-pyghmi-1.6.0-1.noarch
- AppStream9: python3-pyghmi-1.5.34-2.el9.noarch (too old, requires >= 1.5.71)
- AppStream10: missing why?
- python3-pynacl-1.4.0-8.el9.x86_64
- python3-pysnmp-4.4.12-1.noarch
- EPEL9: python3-pysnmp-7.1.16-2.el9.noarch New fork with API changes
- EPEL10: python3-pysnmp-7.1.21-4.el10_1.noarch
- python3-webauthn-2.3.0-1.noarch
- missing
- Project is very active
- webauthn might be optional, it's only needed for passkey support, which is used, but it requires the user to bother getting the browser and certificate situation just right with a DNS based name to access the confluent server, which is a set of prereqs that most people don't bother with...
