About this repository
The modernize branch contains active updates for modern Python versions.
This is a maintained continuation of [willvousden/ptemcee](https://github.com/willvousden/ptemcee) (now archived). It preserves full git history and the original LICENSE. The goal is to keep the project working on modern Python versions and dependencies, and to accept community fixes.

- ptemcee /'tɛmsiː/ (noun):
- Adaptive parallel tempering meets emcee.
ptemcee, pronounced "tem-cee", is fork of Daniel Foreman-Mackey's emcee to implement parallel tempering more robustly. As far as possible, it is designed as a drop-in replacement for emcee.
If you're trying to characterise awkward, multi-modal probability distributions, then ptemcee is your friend.
