Our purpose of this project is to raise awareness about the amount of time wasted mindlessly scrolling on consumption-heavy platforms. Understanding that these platforms thrive on this behavior, we created this extension to help users regain control over their time.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure that you have the following installed:

• Google Chrome (latest version)
• Node.js

1. Opening the Tracking App

Start by cloning the repository to your local machine: Then navigate to the website directory using cd website and then launch the index.html file using Live Server.

2. Installing the Chrome Extention

1. Open Google Chrome and Navigate to chrome://extensions/
2. Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch on the top right corner.
3. On the top right corner, press Load Unpacked
4. Drag and dropped the blockedSite folder into the Load Unpacked.
5. The extention should now appear on your Chrome toolbar!
