1 Install the Files

Installing the Application and Driver Files into Hubitat Environment

Before you begin

Before beginning the file installation, complete the following steps:

  1. Install the Kasa Devices. Install the devices using the Manufacturer's instructions and the Kasa Application.

  2. Assign Static IP Address: For each device, assign a Static (or Reserved) IP address on your LAN. This precludes the IP from being changed and causing communications problems.

Installing the files

  1. Device Drivers: Install the device drivers (inks below) for your devices in accordance with the Hubitat Instructions at: HE Driver Installation. The driver file links are contained below:

  2. Application File: (This step is not required for a Manual Installation.) Install the application file in accordance with the Hubitat Instructions at: HE Application Installation completing steps 1 through 5 only. Next:

  • Manual Installation: Provides a stand-alone install for each device. Does not have any automated IP address recovery. Link: Manual Installation
