2 Device Manual Installation

Before proceeding: Before proceeding, answer the following questions:

  • Are all the Kasa Devices installed and working through the Kasa Application?
  • Has static IP addresses been created in your router for all the Kasa Devices?
  • Are the Kasa IP address on the same segment as your Hubitat Hub (I.e., 192.168.50)?

Manual Installation steps: For each device (one at a time), you will do a device installation and the set the devices IP address and plug number (for multi-plug devices). (Note that the Kasa Local Integration Application's list devices function can be used to get the device IPs for your Kasa devices and then removed from the system.)

  • Continue the How to Install Custom Drivers instructions starting at "Loading your custom driver". When this is finished, you will be on the device's detail (edit) page.
  • In the preferences section (see figures below), enter the IP address for the Kasa Device.
  • For Multi-plugs, enter the plug number.
  • Select Save Preferences.
  • Open debug logging and test the device (on / off / refresh).
