Biomes
Unchanged from the normal Zelda 2 map.
Like vanilla, except all the locations have been shuffled to random positions another location used to be in. Be on the lookout for caves, bridges, and Saria that could connect from one location to another at the other end. If "Vanilla Shuffle Shows Actual Terrain" is on, the tiles will show the terrain type of what they have been shuffled into. Otherwise, they will show their vanilla terrain.
A randomly generated terrain that has similar properties to vanilla. The west continent will always have a north and south part connected, and east continent will have a north / middle / south part with various connections. Maze Island will be a randomly generated maze. Death Mountain is a random mountain with a lot of road tiles and caves connecting paths.
The map will be split up into several islands connected by bridges, caves, or walkable water. Be on the lookout for the boots!
Like Islands, but instead of water it's rocks. Keep in mind there could still be a need to walk across some water.
The map is split vertically or horizontally by a canyon with bridges or caves connecting the two sides. The canyon has a 50% chance to be a dry-canyon, where the canyon is made of desert instead of water.
The map is split vertically or horizontally by a mountain range containing a lake. There can be one or two entrances to the caldera, possibly requiring you to get to the other side via other methods. The caldera lake will always have one of the western palaces on its shores.
Similar to caldera, the Valley of Death is now a volcano in the middle of the map splitting it into two sides. Caves or Valley of Death encounters could be required to cross the volcano. Great Palace (or another random eastern palace if Great Palace is in Shuffle) will be found in the middle of the volcano.
Selects a random biome from those available on that continent, excluding Vanilla or Vanilla Shuffle if chosen.
